Northamptonshire is
full of delights just waiting for you to discover, all
nestled amongst the hills and valleys of this amazing and
diverse county, and the great thing about Northamptonshire
is that it is so easy to get from any in the UK as it is
well serviced by motorways. Just over an hour from London
or Manchester yet a million miles away spiritually. There
are many places to visit: historic battle sites, market
towns, stately homes and beautiful gardens and throughout
Northamptonshire there are a myriad of charming picture
postcard villages with ancient churches, traditional country
pubs and cottages many built using golden ironstone &
sandstone with colours from warm orange to deep red. Northamptonshire also has a fine collection of stately
homes which have remained in the same family for
generations, such as the Watsons at Rockingham Castle,
the Brudenells at Deene Park, the Spencers at Althorp and the Montagus at Boughton, all of whom cantrace 500 years of continuous
ownership. Northamptonshire has over 2,000 miles of footpaths,
many close to areas of outstanding beauty including
Rockingham Forest that covers some 200 acres. If you’re
after excitement, Silverstone the home of
British Motorsport has some fabulous driving experiences available that will put a smile on any car enthusiasts face and for all you horseracing fans, Towcester has a delightful
racecourse.
This is a beautiful and diverse county.
